His building journey began in the New Zealand Armed Forces, where he gained his qualifications and developed a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and leadership skills. Those values continue to guide his work every day on-site.
After leaving the military, Api settled in Ōtaki with his young family and quickly became a trusted name in the local building scene. He takes real pride in helping people bring their ideas to life.

Alana is the friendly face behind the scenes at A H Builders, keeping everything running smoothly with her years of experience in administration and office management. With a solid background in the building industry — including time with another local construction company — she brings invaluable knowledge and organisation to every project.
Born and raised in Ōtaki and the Kāpiti Coast, Alana has a strong connection to the community and a genuine passion for the people who live here.
